ℵ 记号是表达超限基数的记号，指一系列形如 [math]\displaystyle{ \aleph_n }[/math] 的基数。其中 ℵ₀ 表示第一个超限基数，也就是和自然数集的势相等的基数。然后每一个 [math]\displaystyle{ \aleph_n }[/math] 都代表对应于序数 [math]\displaystyle{ \omage_n }[/math] 的超限基数。若承认选择公理，每个集合都严格对应一个序数，则 ℵ 数中间不存在其他基数。这个形式的基数 [math]\displaystyle{ \aleph_0,\aleph_1,\cdots }[/math] 统称为 ℵ 数/阿列夫数。
